Simple Mexican Hot Sauce Recipe: A classic crowd-favorite Mexican hot sauce recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 ripe chopped small tomatoes
  • 1 small minced onion
  • 1 minced green jalapeno chili pepper
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil

Mash garlic and salt together. Peel tomatoes and mash together with garlic and salt. Add onion and pepper. Use a hand blender to combine all ingredients with vinegar, sugar and olive oil. Allow to sit overnight and store in the refridgerator.

Ingredients:

  • 4 tomatillos
  • 1 cup jalapenos, drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp. cumin

  • 1/2 tbsp. salt
Roast the tomatillos (peeled and drizzled with olive oil) at 450 degrees for 15 minutes and turn once. Place the tomatillos, garlic, jalapenos, oil and liquid from the tomatillos in a food processor. Add cilantro, cumin, lime and salt and blend for once minute. Serve or store in the refridgerator.

Ingredients:
  • 6 whole mangos, peeled and seeded
  • 7 whole kiwi fruit, peeled
  • 7 whole Habanero peppers, stemed and seeded
  • Juice of 4 limes
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • 4 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups water   

Boil peppers in a large pot with water and salt for 15 minutes, drain but save 1/2 cup water. Blend saved water and all ingredients but the vinegar. Return everything to the pot and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring the entire time. Remove from heat and stir in vinegar until cooled. Refridgerate until ready to use.
